Symbolism and Allegory Unit Reflection

Over the past few weeks, my classmates and I have study Symbolism and Allegory. I learned about Symbolism by completing some assingments. For example,  the Symbolism Poster. I learned about Allegory by completing Allegory assingments. For example, the Animal Farm to The real World paragrapgh. My favorite assignment was the Symbolism Poster. I got to be creative and show what I learned in one assingment. Now that I know what Symbolism and Allegory means, I realize that everything has a symbol to it even if its something in the real world. For example, a stop sign means to stop.

Animal Farm to the Real World

In the story Animal Farm by George Orwell, not following the commandments has allegorical meaning. For example,in the story if you didn't follow the seven commandments you would lose your life for disobeying. This represents the real world when you also disobey the law which could lead to prison, and if more than the death penalty. Additionally, if you didn't get put to death you would loose the trust in the world and be known for the world's most wanted. Even though most stories are written for children I enjoyed reading it.
