Persuading You to Read a Blog

Have you ever wanted to show off your accomplishments? Freshman have an advantage to get there accomplishments acknowledged while living at San Pasqual. On our campus blogging is another diary but on technology. You can post anything you want, at anytime, and plus it’s free. We being sophomores should help out the freshman by commenting on their blog posts and letting them know how great they have done. I feel commenting about their will boost their confidence in the work they do for homework and for class work.

Sophmore Paragraph

To be a sophomore means that you have matured and are getting more knowledge as you grow up. It means that you are taking a big step just to take another big step when you become a junior and is also being a role model for the young freshman kids. Being a sophmore makes you a rolemodel even if you don't like it because the freshman look up to us and the teachers see how much we have grown.

SPA Poem

Life at S.P.A can sometimes be tiresome as if we’ve been to hell and back. The drama on this campus is as pointless as a snuggie. When I’m happy and not getting into trouble, I feel like the world has turned right side up. San Pasqual’s what you make it and not what anyone else thinks it should be like. I’ve been here for almost a year and a half and it feels like time has crept up on me and in my opinion this place can drive you crazy.

Free Choice Blog post

My free blog post will be about basketball. Yesterday was senior day for our seniors and the last day of basketball season. We lost but I was proud because we played hard. The boys were winning fourth quarter but went into overtime and lost by three points. There game was very intense and I thought that it was worth watching. I’m still trying to decide if I want to play softball because I just played two sports back to back and I’m exhausted. Softball can be a fun sport and I’m good at it but I want to take a break and focus on school and get a job.  I’m still indecisive but I’m young and I have plenty of choices.

Graph Sherbet Blogpost 2011

I can relate to the “Grape Sherbet” poem because I remember when my grandpa died how I couldn’t remember what the stuff he cooked taste anymore. The phrases that help me imagine this poem was when she was talking about standing above stones with names on them and she had no idea there were people under her feel. Imagery helps a person imagine the story right out into detail. It has smell, sight, touch, sound, and taste.

Memorable Valentine's Day

My most memorable valentine was in the 5th grade. I was dating a guy named Marvin. I say this is my most memorable Valentine’s Day because he spent $150 worth of gifts for me. I cherished them for a very long time. We broke up and I told him I threw it all away just to see if he still cared, and he did. We never got back together because I had to move away. The last time I seen him was at my little cousin’s birthday party and I was shy and didn’t know how to approach him. Now that I look back I regret not saying anything to him because for me to be so young he was the best boyfriend ever. He was sweet, he never let his friends change him, and I came before him all the time. If I had a chance to go back in time and talk to him I would. Now I’m a young lost girl who doesn’t know what she wants.

"I am Offering This Poem" by Jimmy Santiago Baca

If I could have just one wish,I would wish to wake up everydayto the sound of your breath on my neck, the warmth of your lips on my cheek, the touch of your fingers on my skin, and the feel of your heart beating with mine Knowing that I could never find that feeling with anyone other than you. This emotion to me is love.

"I am Offereing This Poem" Emotion

The emotion that "I am Offering This Poem" by Jimmy Santiago Baca expresses is love and greatfulness. For example, the only thing they are offering is a poem, and in the poem says" It's all I have to give and all anyone needs to live". Which means that even though it is just a piece of paper it has a lot of meaning. For example this shows that they are being greatful. In addition, the poem talks about love in general. That's why the emoion of this poem was talking about love and in a way greatfulness.

"Remeber" Paragraph

These statements are logical but only to some people. For example, I believe that these could be logical in my opinion  because I see that world as a part of me and it is what I make it.  "I heard her singing Kiowa war dance songs at the corner of Fourth and Central once. Remember that you are all people and that all people are you. Remember that you are this universe and that this universe is you. Remember that all is in motion, is growing, is you. Remember that language comes from this. Remember the dance that language is, that life is. Remember." I feel that in everyday this is logical and true. I do agree with the statements being logical.

"Remeber" Paragraph

Entering the poets world, I think she wrote this story and published it because she wanted to let the readers know that we are one and we are the earth. For example, she could have wrote this because she felt that the world that we live in today is what we are. Another example, If i were a poet I would have published this because nature is beautiful can be apart of anything. A final example, If I were to make a poem and have it published I would have made plenty of nature because we make it beautiful , but we can also destroy  destroy it. This poem made me feel like I should take care of the earth more.

"Heart! We will forget him" Paragragh

I think that the narrator may have had problems with her Ex-boyfriend. After all the problems, she only held them in until a last minute when she thought it would take off stress but only felt things got worse for her. Personification is a firgure of speech in which and object is given human qualities. When the author uses personification, it helps her feel like she isn't alone and just maybe somebody is listening to her. One way I can relate to this poem is when Im upset I sort of tell myself that Im better than any problem.

Imagery in a Song

The name of the song is “Never Say Never” by Justin Bieber. An image from this song would be I never thought that I could walk through fire”. It means to me that I’ve been through the most painful stuff in my life.  Also, an image from this song would be “I’m fast enough to run across the sea. To me it means that if a situation with my family or friends I’d get over it because I wouldn’t let it drown me. Last but not least, “Like David and Goliath I conquered the giant”. The biggest problems that I think I can’t handle, I will someday conquer them. When I hear this song I feel like I can handle any fear or problem and I won’t give up. I will never say never when it’s something I can overcome.

Send "Never Say Never" Ringtone to your Cell

See I never thought that I could walk through fire.

I never thought that I could take the burn.

I never had the strength to take it higher,

Until I reached the point of no return.

And there's just no turning back,

When your hearts under attack,

Gonna give everything I have,

It's my destiny.

I will never say never! (I will fight)

I will fight till forever! (make it right)

Whenever you knock me down,

I will not stay on the ground.

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up up up,

And never say never.

I never thought I could feel this power.

I never thought that I could feel this free.

I'm strong enough to climb the highest tower.

And I'm fast enough to run across the sea.

And there's just no turning back,

When your hearts under attack,

Gonna give everything I have,

Cause this is my destiny.

I will never say never! (I will fight)

I will fight till forever! (make it right)

Whenever you knock me down,

I will not stay on the ground.

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up, up, up,

And never say never.

Here we go!

Guess who?

JSmith and Jb!

I gotcha lil bro.

Justin Bieber Never Say Never lyrics found on http://www.directlyrics.com/justin-bieber-never-say-never-lyrics.html

I can handle him.

Hold up, aight?

I can handle him.

Now he's bigger than me,

Taller than me.

And he's older than me,

And stronger than me.

And his arms a little bit longer than me.

But he ain't on a JB song with me!

I be trying a chill

They be trying to side with the thrill.

No pun intended, was raised by the power of Will.

Like Luke with the force, when push comes to shove.

Like Cobe with the 4th, ice water with blood.

I gotta be the best, and yes

We're the flyest.

Like David and Goliath,

I conquered the giant.

So now I got the world in my hand,

I was born from two stars

So the moon's where I land.

I will never say never! (I will fight)

I will fight till forever! (make it right)

Whenever you knock me down,

I will not stay on the ground.

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up, up, up,

And never say never.

I will never say never! (I will fight)

I will fight till forever! (make it right)

Whenever you knock me down,

I will not stay on the ground.

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up,

Pick it up, up, up,

And never say never.

" A Storm in the Moutains" One with Nature

It was about 7 years ago when we had moutains in a couple blocks from our house. My mom and dad were arguing so my little sister and I went out to hike the moutain as far as we could go. I could see cars passing by. I could hear the animals run back and forth in the bushes. I touched the small pebbles from the moutain inside my hand. I felt like being up there I got to see nature and get away from all the arguing inside my house. I felt relieve that I could sit up there with just the sound of the cars going by and the ruffles in the bush. This changed me because I never knew how nature could be so beautiful.

Paragraph to Persuade You to Read My Poem

The title of my poem I will be teaching to my classmates is " Ex-basketball Player" by John Updike. Students should read my poem because it will help them identify Lyric Poetry. a poem of five stanzas each containing six lines and written in blank verse, describes the life of Flick Webb, once a high-school basketball star but now, his glorious past several years behind him, a gas-station attendant whose life appears to have reached a dead end. You might want to read my poem because it shows how someone's life changed dramatically  over 7 years and what you would do to change your life differntly from the characters. The best part of the poem is him having the best high school life.

Imagery in a Selected Poem Paragraph

In the poem " A Barefoot Boy" has imagery that sets a sad and lonely mood. " A barefoot Boy! I mark him at his play" is the sense of sight. The narrotor see's a young boy who has no shoes upon his feel. This image creates a boy who is lonely on the street's not living a very healthy life. " His toe stubbed-- ay, his big toe knocked back" is a sense of Touch. The character felt pain as he hurt his big toe. This image creates a boy who got hurt because of not having shoes. " His dirty trousers, rolled half off the knee". This sentence appeals to sight and touch. He can see that his trousers are dirty and could alos feel the dirt on them. This image creates a dirty background of where the kid is living. Imagery helps get into better detail through out the poem.
