Imagery in a Selected Poem Paragraph

In the poem " A Barefoot Boy" has imagery that sets a sad and lonely mood. " A barefoot Boy! I mark him at his play" is the sense of sight. The narrotor see's a young boy who has no shoes upon his feel. This image creates a boy who is lonely on the street's not living a very healthy life. " His toe stubbed-- ay, his big toe knocked back" is a sense of Touch. The character felt pain as he hurt his big toe. This image creates a boy who got hurt because of not having shoes. " His dirty trousers, rolled half off the knee". This sentence appeals to sight and touch. He can see that his trousers are dirty and could alos feel the dirt on them. This image creates a dirty background of where the kid is living. Imagery helps get into better detail through out the poem.
